Mick Rich Adds to NM GOP Call For Johnson To Quit Senate Race

Gary Johnson: still a child of the 1960s peace movement.

ALBUQUERQUE, NM, Sept. 18, 2018 – Mick Rich, Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in New Mexico, added to the New Mexico Republican Party’s call for Gary Johnson to quit the U.S. Senate race:

“Gary Johnson told KKOB-AM that he is not running to win the most votes, but to spread Libertarian philosophy,” Rich said. “By this admission, Mr. Johnson clearly is not in this race to represent the people of New Mexico. Let him spew his radical beliefs elsewhere, so the hard-working families of this state can gain a voice in the U.S. Senate.”

NM Republican Party Calls on Johnson
To Withdraw from Senate Race

ALBUQUERQUE, NM Sept. 18, 2018 – Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Ryan Cangiolosi today called on Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson to withdraw his candidacy from New Mexico’s U.S. Senate race:

“Gary Johnson has a long legacy of service to New Mexico, but our shared beliefs in smaller, more fiscally responsible government would be best served if he withdrew his candidacy for the United States Senate. Sunday’s Albuquerque Journal poll painted a stark picture of the state of this race: in a head to head matchup, Republican nominee Mick Rich would be within just a few points of Democrat Martin Heinrich. We call on Gary Johnson to put New Mexico first, and clear a path for Mick Rich to become New Mexico’s next Senator.”
