MICK RICH FOR U.S. SENATE CAMPAIGN ON PRESIDENT’S SUPREME COURT NOMINATION

Albuquerque, NM – U.S. Senate candidate Mick Rich issued the following statement on the President’s nomination of Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court:

“I applaud the President’s nomination of Judge Kavanaugh to our nation’s highest court,” Mick Rich said. “He has a strong record of upholding our constitution and laws on the federal bench, and I urge the U.S. Senate to act swiftly to hold hearings and vote on this nomination.”

The campaign also pointed out Democrat Martin Heinrich’s record of hypocrisy and political gamesmanship with Supreme Court nominations:

“Just a few short years ago, Martin Heinrich demanded action on President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee,” campaign spokesman Mike Lonergan said. “Now he’s standing with the liberal elites like Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi in obstructing the President’s nominee. While it’s not surprising, it’s sad because New Mexicans deserve better from their U.S. Senator.”
