Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) announced that Vice President Mike Pence will deliver the keynote address at its Legislative Day on June 22 at 9:30 a.m. He will speak to member construction contractors gathered for ABC Legislative Week 2017 before they head to Capitol Hill for meetings with lawmakers.
Mick Rich, candidate for U.S. Senate from New Mexico and a former board member of ABC’s New Mexico chapter, will immediately precede Vice President Pence on stage.
“I’m honored to speak before Associated Builders and Contractors and Vice President Pence,” Rich said. “I know the Vice President agrees that construction creates good jobs, so construction projects should be encouraged.
“Whether or not Washington funds a national infrastructure rebuilding program,” Rich added, “the very least lawmakers can do is remove burdensome regulations that drive up construction costs.”
Additional security measures will be in place for the Vice President’s appearance at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill.
