ALBUQUERQUE, NM, July 31, 2018 – The National Right to Life Committee has endorsed Republican nominee Mick Rich in New Mexico’s race for U.S. Senate.
The Committee called Rich a “a strong advocate for life,” citing his support of the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which would protect unborn children by prohibiting abortion at 20 weeks, and his opposition of the use of federal funds for abortion.
“In contrast, your opponent, Martin Heinrich, supports a policy of abortion on demand,” the endorsement reads. “He … voted against protecting unborn children who can feel pain during late abortions… supports using tax dollars to pay for abortion…. and supports giving hundreds of millions of dollars of [taxpayer] funds to the nation’s largest abortion provider.”
“I’m honored to receive this endorsement,” Rich said, “and I remain committed to protecting the most vulnerable members of our human family – unborn children and medically dependent or disabled persons – whose lives are threatened by abortion and euthanasia.”
